Estee Lauder Workshop - 20 Jul 2019

Hey gorgeous, welcome back to my blog!

I had recently attended an Estee Lauder Workshop held at Ion Sephora last Saturday, 20th Jul 2019 and I actually learnt quite alot from it. So in today's post, I will be sharing what I've learnt and hopefully you'll be able to pick up something new too. If you're keen to find out more, keep on reading!

So if you don't already know, Estee Lauder recently launched a new product called the Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate, and this is an improved and more intense formula from their best selling Advanced Night Repair.

The retail prices for these Advanced Night Repair series.

"When you feel that your skin is acting up, press reset tonight"

I must say the packaging of this Advanced Night Repair series is really simple yet luxurious with the gold cap and strangely I think brown actually goes quite well with gold haha. The Advanced Night Repair comes with a syringe and usually 2 drops is all I need for my night time routine whereas the new Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate comes in a bottle with a pump which is just as convenient in my opinion.

Try spotting me? Lol

I've been using the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair for sometime now and through the workshop, I learnt that there's actually much more ways to apply it to maximise the benefits. In fact, I've been applying it the wrong way all this while. During the workshop, Jerome actually told everyone to emulsify (rubbing it with both hands) the serum before gently massaging it to the skin in an outward movement, lifting the skin at the same time. If your foundation is too drying for your skin, you can also add two drops of the Advanced Night Repair to your foundation so that it's not too drying and fret not, this will not affect the foundation's coverage at all. For those with very dry undereyes like mine, you can also tap the Advanced Night Repair under the eye before applying make up, acting as a base so that the foundation and concealer will not set into the fine lines or crease under the eye. Last but not least, if your mascara is all dried up making it all clumpy, you can even drop a little Advanced Night Repair into the mascara and that will save you from hideous lashes.

Trying the new Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate
On the other hand, the new Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate has a gelish texture as compared to the more watery Advanced Night Repair. It also has a calming lavender scent that boosts tranquility. The product is described as the overnight rescue treatment for skin irritation, redness and dehydration. The formula claims to help the skin recover from any redness or itchiness in just an hour. One can also apply it before the foundation so that the foundation will last longer, while refining the lines at the same time. Due to its gel like texture, this concentrate is very light weight and can be absorbed easily. While it is not necessary to apply the Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate on a daily basis, if you would like to use it together with the original Advanced Night Repair, do remember to apply the latter one first before going in to the concentrate.

And that's all I have for this post, I hope you have learnt something new after reading it and I'll see you in my next post, xoxo.
