Thrifting My Pregnancy Outifts from Carousell

Hey gorgeous, welcome back to my blog!

In today's post, I'll be sharing another thrift my outfits haul and this time, I got all my stuff from Carousell. If you don't already know what Carousell is, it is basically a mobile app whereby people can buy and sell their second hand or unwanted items.

This is how the app looks like and it is very user friendly. Carousell even came out with this Caroupay system whereby you can buy your items and released the money only when you've successfully received the items from the seller. Enough said, let's take a look at the things that I had purchased!

1) Friends Tee

Truth is, I've never watched this drama, Friends before but I really love their merchandise because the wordings are so minimalist and chic. And so, I got myself a white tee with the words Friends printed on it. The material is really soft and comfy but it is slightly sheer so I am not too sure if the hubby will be happy seeing me in this haha. But anyway, guess how much I paid for this tee? $0.50 only and the seller included free normal postage for me. Say whuttttt! The condition of the tee was perfect and I believe it was actually a brand new piece. Definitely a good steal and I can totally see myself wearing it in this warm and humid Singapore's weather.

2) Zara Embroidered Sheer Top

And I got this authentic Zara Woman top for only $5! The condition of this top was perfect, no loose threads, no holes or stain so this was indeed an incredible deal! I was usually a size S or M for Zara but since my baby bump is getting bigger and bigger as the days go by, I thought size L would somehow be of a better fit. However, the top is really very sheer so I definitely got to wear something underneath to cover up.

3) Hollyhoque Off Shoulder Dress

Next I've gotten this simple yet chic looking navy off shoulder dress from Hollyhoque, our very own local online shop. The material of the dress was super soft and comfy and it's slightly figure hugging so for mothers-to-be who love to flaunt their baby bumps, I think dresses like this are definitely a good option. Also, I love the frill details on the dres. I paid $10 for this second hand Hollyhoque off shoulder dress which was also in a perfect condition.

4) Zara Embroidered Floral Sleeveless Top

Next item is another Zara Top and this was also from the same seller that I got the previous Zara top. In other words, I also paid $5 for this top. 😁 Again this top is in tip top condition, no defects, no stains and loose thread. I thought this top would go well with a pair of skinny jeans but I probably can only wear it after giving birth. Nonetheless, to buy a Zara top at only $5, this was a very good buy indeed.

5) Zara White Floral Embroidered Babydoll Romper

Ever since my pregnancy, I developed a fetish for babydoll dresses as that was something I couldn't pull off when I wasn't pregnant. So when I saw this $10 Zara embroidered floral babydoll dress being listed on Carousell, I knew I wanted to get it. If you were a fan of Zara, I think you would know that typically this kind of dresses will be retailing at $49.90 (at least) so to get it for just $10 was totally a steal. When I received this, the first thought that came into my mind was that this dress was definitely a tad too short for my height and I probably need to pair it with a leggings. But when I tried it on, to my pleasant surprise, it was actually a romper! The romper was fully lined so even though it's white in colour, it's not sheer at all. If I had to choose a favourite purchase out of this entire haul, this romper will definitely be it!

6) Zara Floral Dress

Okay the final Zara item I got from Carousell was this beautiful floral dress. The print was what caught my eyes. It gave off this unique oriental vibe and I really love it a lot. The length was perfect for me, the material was like silk, so silky and comfy. I especially love the button details on the collar but the buttons also made wearing it 100% more challenging. And guess what, I got this pretty looking Zara Floral Dress at only $10 too.

7) Boohoo Pale Blue Cold Shoulder Dress

If you are not familiar with Boohoo, it is actually an English online fashion brand, based in the UK and although they do not ship to Singapore, we Singaporean can actually get their stuff through ASOS. And now you can actually shop for brands like this that are not too common in Singapore on Carousell as well which is amazing. I got this demure looking pale blue cold shoulder dress at $10 and I actually quite like it. It is in my opinion an appropriate office wear but at the same time, due to the cold shoulder details, it can also be worn as a going out dress. The material is quite thin and slightly figure hugging which showcased my baby bump as well. For $10, I think this was also a good buy.

8) Benefit Cosmetics Cheerleaders Pink Squad Face Palette

The last item that I got from Carousell wasn't a clothing stuff but rather a makeup product. So while I was scrolling through the makeup section, I saw someone selling this brand new in packaging and sealed Benefit Cosmetics Cheerleaders Face Palette for $55 and I remembered being very shocked by that. The retail price for this palette in Singapore is $105 and the seller was selling this at $50 cheaper! I immediately chatted up with the seller as I was really curious what she was thinking to sell this at such a low price. Turned out, it was gifted to her and she had no use for it. So, for just $55, I finally got my hands on this beautiful face palette from Benefit Cosmetics. Hoola has always been my number one go to bronzer and I am really happy they included it in this palette, together with other popular face products such as their Galifornia and Dandelion blushers. It also had a palette exclusive blush shade, Tickle and it is a very gorgeous mauve pink blush with a tinge of shimmer to it. The palette also comes with a brush and a big mirror which is a plus point. I am really happy and satisfied with this purchase.

So in conclusion, I felt that one can really find some pretty amazing stuff at Carousell and most of the things are sold at a fraction of the normal market price. In fact, I am also selling my preloved clothes on Carousell and my ID is "gogetawayinstyle". If you are interested to shop my wardrobe, please do follow me on Carousell and let me know that you have read this post and I'll give you some discount! 😉

And that's all I have for this post, I hope you have enjoyed reading and I'll see you in my next post, xoxo.
