Maybelline Fit Me Foundation V.S. Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation

Hey gorgeous, welcome back to my blog!

In today's post, I will be doing a foundation comparison between Maybelline Fit Me Foundation and Maybelline Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation. Both foundations are highly raved and I have just recently gotten my hands on the Super Stay Foundation and have yet to try it on my face so this is gonna be my first impression of the Super Stay Foundation as well. As for the Fit Me Foundation, it's been awhile since I last used it but I remember myself loving it (I think?) just that my recent go to foundation is the Base Zero Foundation from Kate Tokyo.

Anyway, if you are keen to see the results of the comparison and my thoughts on both foundations, keep on scrolling.

Both foundations are in shade 120, Classic Ivory

After pumping the two foundations side by side for comparison, I can tell that the colours are exactly the same but as you can see from the picture above, Fit Me Foundation has a watery consistency whereas the Super Stay Foundation has a creamier consistency. Also, Super Stay Foundation dries up faster as compared to the Fit Me Foundation.

Applied a layer of Fit Me on the right side of my face
Honestly I think the coverage for Fit Me Foundation is quite bad. My dark circle as well as acne scars are not concealed at all. However, since it has a watery consistency, applying this foundation to my face is a breeze with a makeup sponge. It is also very light weight so you don't feel like you are putting on foundation. I also love how buildable it is which is good since you definitely need more than one layer to obtain coverage.

On the other hand, Super Stay Foundation has scored a 100 points on its coverage level. It really does have a full coverage as its name suggested. One layer is all you need to cover up the flaws. But because of its creamy consistency, it is harder to apply as compared to Fit Me and also it is very sticky on the face. I would say this is definitely one foundation you need to set with powder.

Heading out to run some errands and let's see how lasting the foundations are after a few hours. Be right back!

So after 7 hours of wearing the 2 foundations, one thing I noticed was that both foundations oxidised. My face was noticeably of a darker tone as compared to my neck. The side of my face with Super Stay Foundation was a lot more darker than the other side with Fit Me Foundation.
Both sides looked matte and oil-free throughout the day and the rest of my make up stayed on and looked like when I first applied in the morning.

The side with Super Stay looked significantly darker

In conclusion, I think prefer Fit Me Foundation to Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation. I do love the full coverage that Super Stay offers but I found it a little too tacky to begin with. Plus, it oxidises quite badly in my opinion. Fit Me Foundation on the other hand is a little more light weight and suitable for everyday use. Although it does not offer high coverage, I feel that you can always build up the coverage or layer it with your concealer.

Last but not least, Fit Me Foundation is retailing at SGD19.90 (for 30ml) whereas Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation is retailing at SGD24.90 (also for 30ml) so I would say the CP value for Fit Me Foundation is much higher.

So that's all for this post. Thank you for reading and till the next post, xoxo.
