My Top 3 Favourite Fragrances

Hey gorgeous, welcome back!

So in today's post, I want to share with you my favourite fragrances at the moment. You may not already know, I am actually quite a perfume hoarder and I love to collect bottles and bottles of perfume. It's like a tradition for me to get at least one perfume every time I travel so I do have quite a collection.

But today, I am gonna share with you the top 3 perfumes with the best scent in my collection so if you are interested to know which are favourites, then keep on scrolling.

No.1: Versace Bright Crystal Absolu
Pic credits: FragranceNet.com
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE VERSACE BRIGHT CRYSTAL! If someone were to ask me what's my favourite fragrance, this would be the one without a doubt. Versace Bright Crystal was the first branded fragrance that I have ever owned and I remembered when I first bought it in 2009, I couldn't bear to wear it at all.  Fast forward to today, this is my fourth bottle of Versace Bright Crystal and I have moved on from the normal Bright Crystal to the Bright Crystal Absolu, which is a more intense version of the original. The original version and the Absolu smell almost the same but the Absolu seemed to be able to last longer on my skin. It usually lasts six to eight hours for me, which is not too bad considering some of my other perfumes that can only last me two hours or even shorter. One of the main reasons I love Bright Crystal is of course due to its fragrance. It is a delightful mix of floral, woody and citrus scents and the notes are mainly yuzu, pomegranate, raspberry, lotus, magnolia, peony, amber and musk, just to name a few.
If you are looking for something that is both feminine and sweet, this Versace fragrance might just be the right one for you.

No. 2 Christian Dior J'adore EDP

My second all-time favourite fragrance would be Dior's J'adore EDP, which I got it when I was in Paris. "A unique bouquet of flowers, rich and generous", J'adore Eau de Parfum has a great floral scent for women and its richness is what differentiates it from other brands. The notes consist of Ylang Ylang (pronounced as Ee-lang) from the Comoro Island, which is the flower from the Cananga trees and the oil extracted from this flower can promote relaxation, kill bacteria, lower high blood pressure and increase sexual desire. It also contains Damascus Rose essence and Sambac Jasmine absolute. If you are looking for something that is both sexy and feminine yet with a tinge of floral sweetness, this J'adore fragrance will definitely be your cup of tea.

No. 3 Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel

Pic credit: www.fragrantica.com
Yet another floral fragrance in my collection, this is my ultimate favorite of them all - Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel. It was first launched in 2001 and after almost two decades, this award-winning fragrance can still be seen in all major departmental stores' shelves. You can almost smell this fragrance at any event that you attend as it is so recognizable that it attracts every one's attention instantly. From one sniff, you would know someone is using this fragrance. As for me personally, this fragrance can last all day. In fact, it could even last for days even after showering. The notes behind this fragrance are the Jacques Polge, Orange, Mandarin Orange, Orange Blossom, Bergamot, mimosa, jasmine, turkish rose, ylang ylang, tonka bean, patchouli, opoponax, vanilla, vetiver and white musk. The addition of the orange scent gives the fragrance an oriental touch. So if you are looking for something that is super classy and feminine that can last for a whole day, Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel is definitely the one to go.

So that's all I have to share for today and I hope that you have enjoyed reading this post!

Playdress: Play Through Style

Hey gorgeous  welcome back.

In today's post, I'll be showing you three outfits that I had recently gotten from Playdress. Not sure if anyone is familiar with this new fashion store but if I am not mistaken, they opened their first outlet at Citylink and right now they have a total of three stores with the other two at Westgate and Bugis Junction. They also have an online shop so if shopping in the store is not your kind of thing, then you can also check out their website.

When I first stepped into their store, I can't help but compare them with The Editor's Market because they have the same marketing style. Playdress also goes by the "wholesale" concept, which means the more you buy, the more discount you get! I also can't help but notice that some of their apparels are quite Editor's Market-ish. As for the pricing, I would say they are slightly cheaper than other online shops yet the quality is just as good. If you are interested to see what outfits I got, then keep scrolling down.

First outfit: White Top with Blue Polka Dot Shorts

I think this is my favorite one in this post because they are so comfortable to wear! The white top is made of a super comfortable satin material and I love that it is a little flare at the bottom so it is so versatile to match with. As for the polka dots shorts, I simply adore that it is in a linen material so it's very light weight. I don't usually wear shorts as I find that my thighs look fat when I wear them but this particular pair does not accentuate on my thighs.

Second outfit: Mustard Swing Dress

This dress in my opinion, is something I can find at The Editor's Market as it is so minimalist yet chic. I especially love the back details. The dress is also fully lined, which means it is totally non-sheer and comes with side pockets that are so convenient. It is also available in other staple colours like black, white and navy so if mustard is not your kind of colour, go for the others instead.

Third Outfit: Brick Jumpsuit

The last outfit that I am going to share is this jumpsuit in brick red. I picked this colour as it is in a shade that I do not have in my wardrobe and I love how unique this colour is. The material is comfortable and it is fully lined. The best thing is, it comes with a belt and the buckle of the belt is really pretty! It totally stands out when you put it on and adds details to the jumpsuit. It is however quite figure-hugging so do not ever wear this if you are heading for a buffet dinner. The only thing I dislike about this jumpsuit is that it does not have pockets, which I feel that jumpsuits like these should come with pockets.

All in all, I love my purchases from Playdress as I feel that the clothes are of good quality and the designs are very minimalist, which means they can never go out of trend. Playdress is now having a storewide sale for the entire month of August so hurry and head over to check them out now! PS: new arrivals come in every Thursday!

So that's all for this post, hope you have enjoyed reading.

Till the next post, xoxo.

Thrift My Outfit: Episode Two

Hey gorgeous, welcome back!

So in today's post, I'll be doing another episode of Thrift My Outfits where I will show you five outfits that I got at ridiculously cheap prices that you won't believe until you see it for yourself. If you are interested to find out more, then keep on scrolling down.

First Outfit: Off Shoulder Buttoned Down Dress In Burnt Orange

This dress caught my eyes because of the colour as I did not own any apparel in this shade before this. It is made of a comfortable cotton material and totally non-sheer so you need worry even if you do not have a habit of wearing safety shorts underneath. The length was just nice for me and I love that the off shoulder is made so perfect that every time I raised my arms, the top stayed in place instead of going up above the shoulder. Do note that the buttons are fake but this is perfectly fine for me as I can save the hassle of buttoning it up.

How much: $13.75

Second Outfit: Navy Floral Maxi Dress

This is probably my favourite outfit from this post as I totally adore how feminine this dress looks. I love the elasticised waist as it allows me to eat as much as I can whenever I am decked in this dress. It is made of a satin material so it feels so smooth on the skin. Honestly, it looks much more expensive than it costs and I feel like this is definitely so value for money.

How much: $15

Third Outfit: Polka Dot Top with Black Culottes

The polka dot top here is made of chiffon material hence it's not stretchy at all. Thank goodness it fits me alright. Love the small details of this top such as the high collar, the puffy sleeves and the ribbon at the back.

How much: $11.57

The bottom that I was wearing was a pair of culottes I got from Giordano and it's definitely one of the easiest bottom to mix and match to pull off the simple and chic look.

How much: $15
Where i got it: Expo Sale

Fourth Outfit: White off shoulder top with stripes culottes

This entire outfit is from Lucky Plaza flea market, which is one of my favourite go-to places for some cheap thrills. The white off shoulder top is from Pomelo Fashion and I love how it looks knitted on the outside yet lined with satin material on the inside so it is super comfortable to wear. I am wearing a size S/M and it is the perfect fit for me.

How much: $2
Where I got it: Lucky Plaza Flea

Another pair of culottes that I have been raving about in July is this pair in stripes and pleats. It is made of the most comfortable material ever and so lightweight that it almost felt like I wasn’t wearing anything.

How much: $2
Where I got it: Lucky Plaza Flea

Final Outfit: Buttoned Down Black Dress

In my opinion, this dress screams summer and it is the perfect dress when you are too lazy to think of what to wear yet you wanna look as chic as possible. I love the button details and it is the summer trend now so you can find it in every major department store in the market.

How much: $13.05

And so that's all I have for this post! Have fun shopping for new clothes.

First Impression: Shu Uemura Petal Skin Fluid Foundation

Hey gorgeous, welcome back!

So in today's post, I'll be sharing with you my first impression for the Shu Uemura Petal Skin Fluid Foundation. If you are keen to find out how I feel about this foundation, then keep on scrolling!

Let us start off with the packaging because I absolutely adore it! It is really compact and travel-friendly (30ml only so you can carry it with you onto plane) and I love the white cap, which makes the packaging so minimalist. But on a side note, a white cap can be dirtied easily so you got to make sure that your hands are foundation-free before touching the cap.

Alright, back to the foundation itself. This series has a total of 11 shades and I am in shade "574" - light sand, which happens to be one of the best selling shades too. The foundation was inspired by the beauty of petals and is said to be able to recreate a semi-matte, pore-less and naturally radiant finishing. It also comes with SPF 20 PA ++, which is definitely a plus point as well.

First impression for me is that this foundation is very lightweight and watery, so it is very easy to blend and you can do that either with your beauty blender/sponge or even your finger.

However, I find that the coverage is not as good as it says but it can be built up and I assure you that it is not cakey at all. Another thing that I noticed was that the foundation sets into my fine lines on my under eye very quickly so you really got to set it in with a setting powder as soon as you are done with your foundation.

After applying the first layer, my acne scar is still quite visible.
The foundation is also very lasting and my skin stayed matte throughout the day even on my oily t-zone, which is very impressive as most of the foundation I used previously made me look shiny on my t-zone after just a few hours. I would recommend you go one shade lighter as I realised that the foundation does oxidise a fair bit so you will look darker as the day passes.

Added another thin layer of the foundation on the spots where I wanna conceal.
After a day out, my face pretty much looked the same

All in all, I love this foundation a lot as it really does give me a semi-matte finishing and it is fragrance free as well! It does not break me out, which I thought is good. So if you are considering on getting a new foundation, give this Shu Uemura Petal Skin Fluid Foundation a try!

Happy trying and I'll see you in my next post, xoxo.

Where To Take Insta Worthy Photos: Kuching, Sarawak

Hey gorgeous, welcome back!

So in today's post I'll be sharing some photo spots in Kuching, Sarawak. If you're interested to plan a visit, keep scrolling down.

1) Cat Statues

Kuching, also known as The Cat City of Malaysia has got many cat statues scattered all around but the most famous one would be this that is located right outside Grand Margherita Hotel.

Do try to wake up earlier if you wish to avoid the crowd.

2) Feast and Furious Cafe

This corner cafe has got a huge mural outside it and I think it is one of the prettiest mural in Kuching.

Oh and did I mention that this cafe follows a racer theme so once you step in, you will be surrounded by many racing cars and bikes.

3) Fort Margherita and Brooke Gallery

Definitely one place you cannot miss in Kuching, Sarawak. Just look at the photos below and you will understand why.

4) Sarawak Cultural Village

No trip to Sarawak is complete without visiting this Village. It is approximately 50 minutes away from Kuching City by car.

5) Bako National Park

The oldest National Park in Sarawak is definitely a must to visit and you can also challenge yourself to a wild boar selfie while you are there.

And that's all I have for this post. Hope that you've enjoyed reading this and you can start planning for your own Kuching trip!

Till the next post, xoxo.
